Location

Sachsenhausen besteht aus zwei Stadtteilen von Frankfurt am Main. Sachsenhausen-Nord ist südlich des Stadtzentrums und am linken Ufer des Mains gelegen. Im Süden bildet Sachsenhausen-Süd die Stadtgrenze von Frankfurt am Main zum Kreis Offenbach. Im Westen schließen sich die Stadtteile Frankfurt-Niederrad, Frankfurt-Schwanheim und Frankfurt-Flughafen und im Osten der Stadtteil Frankfurt-Oberrad an. Während der nördliche Teil von Sachsenhausen eine relativ hohe Bevölkerungsdichte aufweist, ist die Fläche des Südteils zu einem großen Teil durch den Frankfurter Stadtwald abgedeckt. Sachsenhausen-Süd ist der größte Stadtteil von Frankfurt. Wie alle Frankfurter Stadtteile ist Sachsenhausen an den Öffentlichen Personennahverkehr angeschlossen. Es gibt unzählige S- U und Straßenbahnen, die diesen Stadtteil mit dem Rest Frankfurts und dem Umland verbindet.
